His passion is night predator hunting with thermal optics and suppressors. He found Ohio Guns in 2010 as an FFL/07 manufacturer and SOT. His passion has become to develop simple, repeatable predator hunting packages.
Early test rifle. Basic Ruger American 16" 243 Win. Timney Trigger and MDT Oryx chassis. CGS Hyperion suppressor. Pulsar Thermion LRF XP60 thermal scope. Fat Boy tripod.
We used this to really test our Predator Node barrel harmonics development system.
Not my personal preferred set up, but the base rifle, trigger, and chassis would only run about $1,200.
8/7/25: This is the final three-shot cold bore group from the Ruger American above by an old 65-year old guy from the tripod at 100 yards using the thermal optic during the day. It was shot the day after final load development and site in.
It's hard to believe this human being could accomplish this. Confidence is everything in predator hunting and Predator Node systems can help back up that confi
Ultimate test of Predator Node™ system - 200 yard cold bore next day out of the truck back seat on tripod with 65-year old guy!
200 yards looks like a long way when you're not behind the scope!
Perfect shot exactly to point of aim for the 200 yd. zero.
Before we knew we were on the node! This was a great text book stand. Hand to whoop for each stop at 60, 125, and finally at 210 yards. Of course, out of another fantastic BSF barrel on and Aero Precision Solus action and Pulsar XL60 thermal.
We designed these stands to hold a 2-liter soda bottle with warm water to replicate the exact kill zone and height of a coyote. We use these to test our zeros out to 250-300 yards and to build confidence.
This one tried to sneak through a field on the other side of the hedge row. The simple squeaker brought it right in. Of course, another BSF barrel.
